Private Event Brand System
Callstack
2026
Overview
Callstack already had Agent Conf: a loud, public conference built around the engineering community, big ideas and the stage. The brief was to create its opposite — a closed-door gathering for around 50 CTOs, VPs of Engineering and founders. No livestream. No public agenda. Just a room for conversations that don't happen anywhere else. I called it OFFSTAGE. The idea was simple: if Agent Conf is the stage, OFFSTAGE is what happens behind it. A quieter, more private counterpart designed around trust, access and meaningful conversation. The challenge was to make it feel connected to the existing Callstack and Agent Conf ecosystem without simply creating a quieter version of the same brand. I built the identity around restrained typography, a predominantly neutral color system and selectively inherited accents from Callstack and Agent Conf. The visual language was intentionally minimal, giving the event a more private and executive character. Rather than designing a full conference asset library, I focused on the touchpoints that felt most relevant to an invitation-only event: an invitation email, executive pass, wayfinding signage and a presentation system for speakers and moderators. The result is a compact visual system designed to feel less like a conference people attend and more like a room they've been selected to enter.
