Overview
Aptiv is a big, global organization. Which means content is created everywhere: marketing, internal teams, regional offices, you name it. And not everyone making slides or social posts is a designer. Which is fair. But also… risky. The brand guidelines existed. Technically. In practice, people were still stretching logos and discovering “fun” new font combinations. My job wasn’t to police design. It was to make doing the right thing easier than doing the wrong thing. I built a practical content system: structured templates in Figma and Canva, clear layout logic, reusable components and simple visual rules that non-designers could actually follow without feeling overwhelmed. The idea was simple: give teams tools that make them feel confident creating internal and external materials without needing a designer for every small update. The result was less chaos, fewer creative font adventures, and a brand that finally looked consistent across regions.
